Farm (to food bank) to table.
How we built America’s fastest-growing food rescue organization.
Branding The Farmlink Project
As the Covid-19 pandemic ravaged the United States, news channels showed footage of millions of pounds of produce being wasted at farms around the country. They also showed mile long lines wrapped around food banks in America’s cities.
In the face of such contradictions, a group of college students began calling farms to see if they could rescue and transport produce that would otherwise go to waste and transport it to food banks. The Farmlink Project was born, and a month later, I joined to help spearhead its brand and media team.
Four years later, Farmlink has rescued almost 200 Million Lbs of fresh produce and delivered it to foodbanks. My early organic marketing and branding efforts helped put Farmlink on the map, and punch above its weight in the food rescue space. Today, it is the fastest growing food rescue organization in America, with no plans to slow down any time soon.
“Charles revolutionized Farmlink’s outreach by crafting a strategic organic social media approach and a compelling visual identity for our charity.
His work was instrumental in boosting our viral engagement, elevating our mission’s visibility, and scaling our fundraising capabilities.”
